What injection grouting actually is
Injection grouting involves drilling small ports along a crack and injecting a polyurethane or epoxy-based grout directly into it under pressure, sealing the crack from the inside rather than just coating the surface. It is designed specifically for cracks that are actively carrying water through a wall or slab.
When grouting is the right fix
Grouting makes sense for structural cracks, construction joint leaks, and cracks in basement walls where water is entering under pressure — situations where a surface coating alone would not stop water finding its way through the crack itself.
When it is not the answer
For surface seepage without a defined crack, or for large-area terrace/roof waterproofing, grouting is not the right tool — a membrane or coating system covering the full surface makes more sense. Using grouting where a full waterproofing job is actually needed just delays the real fix.
Getting the right diagnosis first
The most common mistake is guessing at a fix without confirming where water is actually entering. A proper inspection identifies whether you need grouting, a membrane, or both, before any work starts — with a written quote and warranty.
