APP (Atactic Polypropylene) membranes
APP-modified bitumen membranes offer better heat resistance than standard bitumen, making them a common choice for terraces that face intense summer sun, since they resist softening and deformation better over time.
EPDM and HDPE membranes
EPDM (a synthetic rubber membrane) offers strong flexibility and UV resistance, often used where movement (thermal expansion/contraction) is a concern. HDPE membranes are commonly used below ground — basements and foundation walls — for their strength and resistance to soil moisture and chemicals.
